The super heavy tanks of the European Alliance benefit endlessly from their exceptional firepower, range, and armor. In direct combat, the armored regiments of the European Alliance have proven supreme in the front lines, their opponents in smoking remains of penetrated hulls. Unfortunately, the mediocre mobility which becomes an inevitable trade-off for armor has proven to be problematic at best. Sly commanders of opposing factions have come to rely on hit and run tactics to make fools of the the Alliance’s tanks, or in some cases, avoided them completely. Those generals may have made fool of the European Alliance’s lack of hindsight, but this did not mean in any measure that the European Alliance were fools. Indeed, as soon as the almighty Siege Tank had gone into the production lines, French engineers had already begun to look into a solution towards this problem. Their solution was the Panhard, an eight wheeled light tank that followed the ideals of the British “Cavalry Tanks” of decades past.

The lack of heavy armor on the Panhard may lead most of the Alliance’s more traditional generals to scoff at such a flimsy vehicle, but the innovative officer of the Alliance is sure to have many uses for the Panhard. For starters, the Panhard is one of the fastest vehicles the Alliance has to offer, surpassing difficult terrain with ease, and capable of performing hit and run tactics against hostile light vehicles with extreme efficiency. The Panhard is also equipped with a state-of-the-art reconnaissance equipment, turning this already admirable tank into a reliable scouting vehicle. Also, the lightly armored nature of this vehicle makes the Panhard quite easy to produce, making the Panhard available to junior ranking officers and European militias for a low price.

The advantages provided by the Panhard has come to be extremely popular amongst Armored regiments, where the speediness of the Panhard has come to be much appreciated. If anything, many European officers have come to lament the fact that the Panhard has only come into production after the the Alliance had been properly stocked with Siege Tanks.
