For centuries snipers have changed the course of wars and determined the outcomes of battles. Napoleon and Wellington used chosen men, hand picked for their skill with the rifle. It was the famous French philosopher Voltaire who said ‘’God is not on the side of the big battalions, but on the side of those who shoot best”. The snipers of the Union are a living incarnation of this theory. Ask your standard Alliance infantryman what he fears more, the boom of the artillery in the distance or the painful silence of a patrol, guaranteed they would rather the canon. ‘The only comfort is that it’s a quick death”, said corporal Jameson of the 31st Alliance rifles.
Brought together from all over the Union, this crack company of skilled marksmen takes no prisoners. They don’t discriminate between officers of privates; all are at the mercy of their trigger finger. Indeed they are so feared by the enemy, that when they are captured they are executed without fail.
Trained in the arts of survival and stealth, the Union snipers and their brothers in the armoured sniper division hunt in packs. They creep through the debris of blown up houses and desolate streets using whatever they can to hide. They lie in wait, sometimes for days, waiting for their moment to strike. If the other five powers want to bring the war to the Soviets, they better get ready to hide and duck for cover.Second tab content goes here. Replace this with your own content.
