The Inferno hammer is a super-heavy walker and variant of Hammer walker used by the forces of the Soviet Union. The Inferno hammer replaces the heavy machine guns and mortar of the Hammer with a heavy flamer. By removing the large ammunition section required for the machine guns and mortar to operate extra space has been opened up near the rear of the vehicle which allows the Inferno Hammer to have large fuel tanks which he uses to operate the flamer. The Inferno Hammer excels in the exact opposite role of the regular Hammer, as an assault and infantry support walker, as its armament allows it to easily rip through infantry and light fortifications.
On the battlefield, the Inferno Hammer serves as a line breaker vehicle, whose purpose is to maul enemy infantry waves at medium range. When configured offensively, the Inferno Hammer will rumble toward its objective, shred any surrounding infantry to pulp, flush out any survivors with its Heavy Flamers, and provide suppressive fire for advancing friendly infantry. Additionally, the high profile of the Inferno Hammer can easily be used as an artillery observation vehicle.
Like all the variants of the Hammer, the Inferno Hammer suffers from poor top speed and manoeuvrability. Additionally, while the walker’s flamer allows it to fend off any marauding enemy infantry at medium range, the Inferno Hammer is unable to fight heavily armoured opponents effectively. A single Battle Tank can spell the doom of a Inferno Hammer by running from it while blasting away with its with impunity. More than any other of the Soviet vehicles, the Inferno Hammer requires support from the other elements of the Red Army to fulfill its mission.
