The MKIV Tank is the most common heavy vehicle in the African arsenal. Originally one of the main fighting vehicles used at the infamous Red Wall and in the Ottoman Empire’s Armoured forces, these obsolete vehicles were supplied to the British colonial infantrymen when it was evident that the vehicle was no longer suitable for the European Alliance’s battlefield. When the African Warlords finally were able to overthrow their European oppressors, their commanders put great care in capturing, salvaging, and maintaining these vehicles. The original plans to use these vehicles in the battlefield began to be a rather complicated affair due to the end of the MKIV’s production in the European Alliance, the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire, and the Alliance’s intentional destruction of factories during the war for Mombassa. This has led to these vehicles to become increasingly haphazard to use for the African Warlords, and has only survived the test of time due to its superior quality in its initial production. That being said, these tanks came to represent for the Africans how they were able to take back their own liberty from the European colonists.
